About Fondazione Chips-IT The Foundation “Italian Center for the Design of Semiconductor Integrated Circuits,” also known as the Chips-IT Foundation, is a nonprofit research and technology organization under the supervision of the Ministries of Industry. The Foundation is Italy's first RTO (Research and Technology Organization) vertically focused on semiconductor research and stands as a center of excellence in frontier research on semiconductor design, as well as a pivotal center of the Italian semiconductor ecosystem and expertise.
Missions of the Foundation: - Promote the design and development of integrated circuits
- Strengthen the system of professional training in the field of microelectronics
- Ensure the establishment of a network of universities, research centers and enterprises that fosters innovation and technology transfer in the field
- Type: Curricular Internship (unpaid)
- Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of a 6-month extension)

Role The Administrative Support Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and international environment, supporting a variety of administrative, operational, and organizational activities across different business functions. Working closely with experienced professionals, the intern will contribute to daily operations, process coordination, reporting activities, and the use of digital tools that support organizational efficiency. This internship offers valuable exposure to business operations and cross-functional collaboration, providing the opportunity to develop practical skills in project support, stakeholder coordination, data management, and process organization while gaining insight into how a growing and innovative organization operates.
Key Responsibilities: - Support HR and finance administrative activities across the employee lifecycle and organizational operations.
- Maintain and manage HR and financial records, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and effective documentation processes.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and administrative documentation, including expense reimbursement requests and other internal procedures.
- Contribute to reporting, analysis, and planning activities by collecting, organizing, and monitoring HR and financial information.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and support operational efficiency initiatives.
- Currently pursuing a master's degree (preferred) or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, Organizational Studies, or related field.
- Understanding basic business, administrative, and financial concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Eligibility to undertake a curricular internship
Skills: - Basic knowledge of HR administration, personnel processes, accounting and financial principles, including budgeting and financial reporting fundamentals.
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills, with familiarity in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, and data organization).
- Basic understanding of business processes, process improvement concepts, and organizational activities, including event and logistics coordination.
