Seeking Electrical Engineer to join the Production Technical Design Office to contribute on the design, engineering, and assembly supervision of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) sub-systems and products.

The focus will be on three main areas:

1) design and develop new products working together with the R&D team.

2) follow the production of various products, such as power distribution and control electrical cabinets, shelters and similar, from the preliminary design to the FAT.

3) assist the engineering team in the execution projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Preparation of documentation for executive design of electrical cabinets and subsystems, in compliance with national and international standards (technical, quality, and safety), in particular IEC 61439.

· Collaboration with the Project Engineers and Product Leaders of the various projects in the detailed definition of the products and subsystems proposed to the customer and during R&D.

· Sizing of electrical subsystems and electrical cabinets, using specific software like Integra, Ampere or similar.

· Elaboration of technical deliverables using 2D and 3D CAD software.

· Preparation of technical specifications for suppliers and Bill of Materials.

· Interaction with suppliers in reviewing offers and developing the optimal solutions.

· Supervision of the product assembling both in-house and at supplier’s facilities.

· ERP inventory master data management and purchase request (SAP).

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

· 2-5 years’ experience in managing the design of Electrical Systems, in power or control-automation sectors.

· Solid knowledge of international electrical codes, standards, and industry practices, in particular IEC 61439.

· Experienced in interfacing with suppliers.

· Experienced with specific software for electrical design: Integra, ABB e-design, Schneider Electric i-project, Ampere.

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Excel.

· Experienced with 2D CAD drawing software (AutoCAD or similar).

· Willingness to travel, mainly in Italy for short business trip (indicative 1-2 days).

· Good communication skills in English and Italian.

Additional requirements, not mandatory:

· Knowledge of stationary electrochemical storage technologies is a plus.

· Knowledge of 3D CAD drawing programs (Solidworks).

· Knowledge of E-plan electrical CAD software platform.

· Experienced in MV electrical systems, in particular MV/LV power transformers and MV switchgear.
