Are you an experienced QC Microbiology Analyst looking to progress? Do you have experience in either food or the pharmaceutical industry? If yes, then this could be the role for you. Torbay Pharma are currently recruiting for a QC Microbiology Senior Analyst to join our team based in Paignton, Devon. This is a full time permanent role in which you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our products by providing excellent microbiology services for pharmaceutical manufacture. About the Role As a QC Microbiology Senior Analyst you will execute and approve a range of microbiology analysis for pharmaceutical and facility compliance, and complete technical processes on behalf of the laboratory. You will work collaboratively with teams across the business and act as a driving force for ensuring that the laboratory meets cGMP compliance and continues to offer an excellent service to its stakeholders. What you can expect in a Microbiology Senior Analyst role at TP: - Execute and approve microbiological analysis, including but not limited to tests for sterility, bacterial endotoxin, microbial enumeration, microbial identification.
- Execute and approve activities for the facility environmental monitoring programme.
- Write cGMP compliant and scientific documentation including but not limited to procedures, test methods, protocols, and reports.
- Perform investigations in collaboration with relevant departments to establish root cause and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensure the principles of ALCOA++ are upheld to meet data integrity cGMP.
- Maintain laboratory assets and perform equipment validation activities.
- Participate in laboratory upkeep, including but not limited to cleaning and stock control.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Ensure business KBI/KPIs are met and foster continuous improvement whilst keeping up to date with any training.
What are we looking for: - Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience in either a food or pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.
- Working knowledge of the harmonised pharmacopoeia, microbiology quality control, and analytical method validation to ensure compliance.
- Ability to change and adapt with a growing business.
- Able to understand business delivery targets and support the laboratory to success.
- An understanding of cleanroom behaviours and safety guidelines, COSHH, Risk Assessments etc.
- Able to learn new skills and gain process competency within expected timeframes.
- Able to critically evaluate scientific data packages and interpret data.
