The Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC) is a feminist organization whose values are founded on commitments to human rights, anti-discrimination and freedom from oppression. Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days office-based)
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term until March 2026 (with potential for extension)
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist NRPF Caseworker to join our frontline team.
This pivotal role supports Black and minoritised women with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) who are at risk of, or experiencing, domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence.
You will provide intensive casework, advocacy, and crisis intervention — ensuring survivors have access to safety, secure accommodation, legal protection, and financial support.
You will also play a key role in advocating with statutory and voluntary agencies, challenging systemic barriers that prevent migrant women from accessing justice and safety.
About YouYou will bring a deep understanding of the structural inequalities and immigration-based exclusions that underpin violence against Black and minoritised women. You are compassionate, tenacious, and confident advocating for women facing multiple forms of discrimination and state violence.
Essential skills and experience include: - Extensive experience supporting women affected by VAWG, domestic abuse, and NRPF conditions.
- Strong knowledge of immigration controls, housing rights, welfare benefits and their intersection with gender-based violence.
- Experience of working within BME or community-based women’s organisations.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage complex caseloads and maintain professional boundaries.
- Fluency in at least one community language
- Commitment to feminist values, anti-racism and equality.
