The Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC) is a feminist organization whose values are founded on commitments to human rights, anti-discrimination and freedom from oppression. Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days office-based)
Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time staff)
Hours: 28 hours per week
Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract (with potential extension)
Annual Leave: 25 days per year About the RoleWe are seeking an ambitious and passionate Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer to join our team and help build the financial sustainability that underpins AWRC’s mission. This role will play a vital part in growing AWRC’s income from diverse sources — including trusts and foundations, corporate partners, community fundraising, and individual donors while embedding ethical fundraising practices that reflect our feminist values. You will work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to identify funding opportunities, cultivate relationships with supporters and partners, and help design compelling proposals and campaigns that bring AWRC’s work to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their skills in fundraising and relationship-building to create real impact ; ensuring that women and girls can continue to access life-saving services, advocacy, and empowerment programmes.
About YouYou are a strategic thinker, a persuasive communicator, and someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships that drive positive change. You’ll combine creativity with structure ; equally comfortable drafting proposals, analysing opportunities, and sharing stories that move people to action. Essential Skills and Experience - Demonstrable experience in fundraising, partnerships, or philanthropy, ideally in the voluntary or women’s sector.
- Proven ability to research, write, and present funding proposals to trusts, foundations, and donors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas with clarity and passion.
- Strong organisational and project management skills ; able to balance multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proficiency in using CRM or fundraising systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to feminist, anti-racist, and intersectional principles, and to advancing the rights of Black and minoritized women.
Desirable - Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or events.
- Understanding of VAWG and social justice issues affecting Black and minoritized women.
- Ability to communicate in at least one community language
