Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver who is reliable and competent in handling multi-drop collections and deliveries of customers freight, in and around the London area.

Job Title: Van Driver – Multi-Drop

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: £32,578 per annum

Hours: Full Time 50 hours per week (Day shift)/Monday to Friday

Key duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivery and collection of customers freight, as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions.
• Multi-drop delivery and collections that may involve some home deliveries (B2C).
• Supervise the loading of your vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Ensure the correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded.
• Plan you day and route in the most cost and operationally effective manner.
• Present, process and return customers Delivery Notes.
• Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual.
• Inform the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work
• Maintain your vehicle (inside and out) in a clean and very tidy condition.
• Greet all customers you meet in a polite and helpful manner and provide excellent customer service.

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

• Experience of multidrop delivery and collection driving.
• Experience delivering around London, inner M25 desired.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage delivery/collection times effectively.
• Full UK driving License Class (B) Licence.
• Background working for a freight forwarder desired but not essential.
• Good communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Understanding of vehicle weights, legal limits and traffic laws.
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Calm and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible approach to hours of work.
