We currently recruiting for a Global Data Demand Manager to join a leading International Retail Group with a presence in over 50 countries. Based in Padua, this is a strategic role for a "bridge-builder" who thrives at the intersection of high-level business strategy and cutting-edge data architecture. You won't just be managing requests, you will be the architect of how a global retail giant democratizes its data.
In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between global business units and data/IT teams to capture, assess, and prioritize data and analytics demands globally. You will be responsible for the data demand intake process, ensuring full alignment with strategic goals and data architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Governance: Lead and facilitate demand governance boards and steering committees.
- Execution & Scoping: Work with data product owners and architects to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
- Global Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive view of ongoing, upcoming, and proposed global data projects.
- Operations: Support capacity planning, budget forecasting, and resource alignment across geographies.
- Data Democratization: Drive the adoption of self-service analytics platforms and monitor value-realization KPIs.
Technical & Business Requirements:
- Data Ecosystems: Strong understanding of data lakes, warehouses, and metadata/catalog systems.
- Governance: Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality management.
- Tools: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ServiceNow.
- Analytics: Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI.
- Requirements Engineering: Ability to translate business needs into structured data requirements or user stories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP or Prince2; CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) is highly valued.
- Technical Background: Certifications in Azure or Snowflake are a plus.
Salary: €50,000 – €65,000 (commensurate with experience) + MBO Hybrid Model: 2 days per week of smartworking
