The Agile Automation Tester is primarily responsible for the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated test solutions within a Scrum team. The role focuses on ensuring high software quality through test automation embedded in the CI/CD pipeline, supporting fast and reliable releases. Manual testing is performed mainly for exploratory, usability, and edge-case validation, complementing the automated test coverage. The Automation Tester works closely with developers, Product Owners, and Product Specialists, contributing to quality from early stages of development and throughout the sprint. Key Responsibilities •Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Owners to define automation-ready test strategies. •Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web applications. •Implement automated functional, regression, and system integration tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline. •Ensure automated tests are executed continuously during the sprint and on every release. •Collaborate daily with developers to integrate testing into the development workflow (shift-left testing). •Contribute to non-functional automated testing, including performance and load testing. •Perform exploratory and targeted manual testing where automation is not effective or not yet available. •Promote best practices for test automation, test code quality, and maintainability. •Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement of testing processes. •Share knowledge within the testing community and mentor team members on automation practices.
Qualifications and Experience •2–3+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer / Agile Tester, preferably on web-based systems. •Strong experience in test automation within Agile/Scrum environments. •Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. •Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks for functional and integration testing. •Experience with Playwright (or similar modern web automation tools) is a strong plus. •Good knowledge of software testing principles, including unit, integration, and system testing. •Familiarity with performance and load testing tools and methodologies. •Ability to read, understand, and collaborate on production code with developers. •Experience in enterprise software delivery environments. •Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. •Fluent in English.
